Want to post a link anywhere and everywhere? Here’s an easy way to grab the link to paste into an email, another website, a blog, a forum, or anywhere else you might want.
First, navigate to the photo you want to share and click the Share icon located below your photo. For some gallery styles, you might need to click a photo to enter Lightbox mode, first, in order to see the Share icon below it.
You'll see four tabs (or three, if you don’t have buying photos enabled), each with different types of links that you can get.
Choose the Photo tab.
Copy and paste the top Photo Link if you want your visitors to be taken to your photo in Lightbox view on your site.
Or click on any tab below to grab an automagically generated shareable link for embedding! You can grab a link for your Photo Only, HTML code for placing on your blog or elsewhere, or BBCode for sharing on a forum.
Select how big you want your shared photo to be from the Size dropdown menu in order to share an embeddable photo.
Select the right code for your intended share location, and then copy and paste it where you want to share it (in a blog post, on your Facebook wall, in an email, a forum, etc.).
Copying is done by holding down the CTRL key, then hitting the C key, or Command-C on Mac.
Pasting is done by holding down the CTRL key, then hitting the V key, or Command-V on Mac.
You can share a direct link to your gallery easily, too! In the Share panel, first select the Gallery tab.
Copy and paste the top Gallery Link if you want your visitors to be taken directly to your gallery on your site.
Want to really make a splash? Share a slideshow of your gallery! Navigate to the gallery you want to showcase and select any photo to bring up the Lightbox.
Click the Share icon, just like you’d do for sharing a link (detailed above). Next, select the Gallery tab. You’ll see two slideshow options to choose from: Fullscreen and Embed.
Select Fullscreen and copy-paste the generated code if you want to wow your visitors with a full-screen slideshow of your gallery.
To embed a beautiful slideshow on your blog, another website, or anywhere else, select the Embed tab. Tick the checkbox next to any options you want to be included with your embeddable slideshow: auto-start, captions, navigation, or play button. Here you can also tweak the speed at which your slideshow plays, the transition type between photos, and the transition speed.
We’ll automatically update the HTML code for your slideshow as you select your options.
Once you’ve got everything tweaked to your liking, simply copy the code and paste it into your blog post, website, or wherever else you like.
You can share your site, a page, a folder, or a gallery as a custom, downloadable “app” for your clients and friends to save on their phone. Make it super easy for anyone to find and access exactly what you’ve shared with them.
To use this nifty feature to share a gallery, open your Share panel and select the Gallery tab. Click the Mobile App Link to highlight your custom app link, then copy (CMD + C) and paste it (CMD + V) in an email, Facebook post, tweet, text message—however you best like to share links.
When your client, friend, or family member taps the link on their phone, they’ll be prompted to download your shared mobile app.
They’ll need to tap the share icon on their phone, then “Add to Home Screen.” They can choose to rename the app to whatever they like, but it will default to your SmugMug profile display name. The app icon will be created using your profile photo.
Once they select the app’s name and click “Add,” a new app icon will save to their Phone’s screen.
Now they’ll be able to tap that icon and view the photos you shared anytime they want.
Tip: Want to share your entire site, a page, or a folder instead? You can alter any URL on your SmugMug site to be a downloadable app link! Just add “?mobile” to the end of any URL on your SmugMug site to make it an app link.
You can publish your SmugMug photos directly to your social-media channels and easily share your best work with friends, fans, and family!

Note: Only you, as the logged-in Account Owner, can use the Share Email tool. Your visitors and clients will have to copy the URL and paste it into their own email client of choice.
Want your visitors to be able to share your photos to social media, too? These options won't show up as sharing options for your viewers unless you've enabled them, so make sure they're switched On in Account Settings > Discovery > Sharing.
You can also add clickable share icons to your galleries to make things even easier for your viewers! To add these icons, you'll need click Customize > Content and Design. Scroll down until you see the Social group, then expand it to grab the Share Buttons content block.
Select the icons you want to be visible, then save your changes.
Admire your share buttons!
If you have printing enabled in your Gallery Settings, you'll see a Cart tab in your sharing menu. To use this option, navigate to the photo you want folks to buy and click the Share icon, just like you’d do for sharing a link (detailed above). Next, select the Cart tab.
Your magic buying link will automatically be highlighted for easy copying and pasting. Share that with your friends. When they visit that link, we'll present them with your lovely shopping cart, ready and waiting for them to fill it with prints and gifts featuring your photo.
Want your fans to keep up to date with your photos using feeds? You can set up feeds for your site using the full SmugMug footer. Feeds are only available for non-passworded galleries accessible by Everyone (Public).
Next, make sure you have the full SmugMug footer on by going into your Customizer (Customize > Content and Design). Click Settings in the green header bar to see if you have the SmugMug footer turned On. If not, you’ll want to switch it to On.
Now, when you scroll to the footer on your page, you’ll see a Feeds icon. Click that to select RSS or ATOM as your feed type.
The page will load with the large block of code that you can ignore. All you need to copy is the URL itself and paste it into your feed reader of choice.
