Uploading From Android

Last Updated: Jul 17, 2012 09:27AM PDT

Our Android app makes it super-simple for mobile photographers to shoot, browse, upload and share.

Leave the tripod at home. You'll never miss a photo op again.

Get it going

Grab SmugMug Mobile from the Android Market
(it's free) and open it up. Log in if you've already got
an account... or create a fresh trial through the app and save a few bucks on your first year.

Tap Get Media to start the action. Use the buttons on
the left to pick what you're uploading, where you want it to go, and what you want it to say.

You can also shoot or record a fresh photo or video right from here. When you're done, just hit "Upload."

The Upload tab shows you the queue, so you can see
just how fast they fly through the aether.

Upload multiples

Why stop at just one? You can upload several photos or videos in one go. Here's how:

  1. Open your Android's Gallery app.
  2. Click over to the album where you keep your photos.
  3. Tap the Share button, then choose the SmugMug app from the list.
  4. Tap to select all the items you want.
  5. Hit Next. We'll take you straight to SmugMug Mobile where you can enter captions, keywords and choose the destination gallery.
  6. Hit "Upload."

Your pocket portfolio

No laptop? Browse lets you carry your whole SmugMug site in your hand. Tap to display your Categories or individual Galleries. Your photos are ready for showing off at a moment's notice.

You can hit your phone's "Menu" button for additional sorting options, to change your Upload and Account settings, or to download an image that you're viewing.
